Welcome to The Search Resource Poker Resources section. Here you'll find just all about you'll need to know about poker.
Poker is simple in design and easy to play. You can learn how to play poker in fifteen minutes. That notwithstanding, if it was as easy as it looks, we would all quit our jobs and become professional poker players.
While poker is simple in design, it is complex in details. Can you learn how to play the game well enough to become a professional? Well consider what noted professional poker player and leading writer/strategist Mike Sexton, and host of the World Poker Tour, says about that: "it takes a minute to learn and a lifetime to master."
Recently, America has simply gone Poker mad. More people probably know who Chris Moneymaker is than know who their U.S. Senator is. Much of the credit for that surge in poker popularity must go to The Travel Channel which televises the WPT (World Poker Tour) weekly and ESPN which televises the WSOP (World Series of Poker) repeatedly, much to the delight of poker fans.
Texas Hold'em is the most popular poker game played so a substantial portion of this section is dedicated to it. Hundreds of thousands play the game everyday in casinos and online. The winner of this year's WSOP earned five million dollars.
Will these resources make you a 'poker master'? Well, just remember what Mike Sexton said...so don't go out and bet the house.
